The Outfit

Brand Aesthetic.

Decisions....decisions.... Which outfits will make it to the final cut for your upcoming photoshoot? We get it. You've worked hard to create your brand thus far. You won't settle for anything less than looking amazing right! Here's a starting point...brand colors. What colors are used for your website or social media? If you're in the beginning stages of building your personal brand, consider selecting two to three colors to display the tone, mood, and style that will showcase your future brand.

For those who are well established in their business, and want to continue 'showing up', know that incorporating your brand colors during your photoshoot will be a great way to create consistency across your brand.

An additional perspective - would you consider your brand to be luxury or more on the casual side? Your wardrobe should 100% align with how you want others to view your brand. The end result will be clients and business partners associating your brand aesthetic with you!

Neutrals.

I admit! I'm definitely a neutrals kinda of girl. If you catch me at a photoshoot, there is a 90% chance I will be wearing black or any shade of nude. Neutral tones are chic and timeless, and will never go out of style (at least not in my mind).

During this branding photoshoot with Dominique, she selected two outfits that were business casual. The first an all black fit, and the second a business casual look wearing jeans with a light pink blouse, complimented with a neutral blazer. Glancing back at her photos, you may notice that her face stands out more as the focal point while wearing low toned outfits. In summary, remember that neutrals are a vibe, and can certainly contribute towards an overall upscale stylish look!

Confidence is key.

I often advise my clients to choose outfits that they truly feel confident in. You know - the outfits that make you feel sexy in your own skin..or in other words....flattering. THIS is the foundation to a kick-ass photoshoot! Yes kick-a** :).

Bring your authentic self. God knew exactly what he was doing when he created YOU girl! You are beautiful the way you are. Find outfits that fit your body and that YOU love.

Don’t force anything that doesn’t work. Don't do it. If you can’t sit in those jeans, no worries! Swap them for a different pair. Comfortable is confident, and confidence is key.
